Sometimes, this thing tend to happen. You know the particular restaurant at that area, but somehow did not know any further details. Whether is the place served Seafood or does it include beef or pork in its serving. You went on searching the information on the net and did not find anything.

We realised this situation can sometimes happened to certain people. So here at eatery2u.com our developers have installed a feature whereby users can ask our team to look for that extra information and have it posted at eatery2u.com website.

You can find the box to submit at any eateries listing page or after doing a search. Here is an example. Just scroll down to the bottom and you will find an explanation.

Please make sure that when filling in the form, please include all the information as much as possible. This would certainly help us getting the most accurate info for everyone else.

We have added a new feature in the eatery2u.com by allowing members to ask any food related question for others member to answer. The goal of this is to allow people understand more towards Malaysian food.

This feature can be accessed at this page. It’s quite straight forward. As you can see, there are 2 tabs on the beginning of the page.

On the first tab, you may see other member’s questions and answer them if you tend to participate. While in the second tab is where a member can post their question.

At this time of writing, there are few members who already posted and answered questions.

Therefore, come let’s ask the things that you wanna know about Malaysia Food. Or even better, help answer to them who needed food guidance.

We knew that our URL to some of the pages might be too long. This is rather because our programming framework needs it to be that way.

But worry not, our developers have finally make the long URL into an amazingly short one. For example, my friends can access my profile page by just typing eatery2u.com/fendy and viola, can see may face already. Eh, now ppl know my face, when see me dun throw brick ah..

This short URL is not just limited to members profile, it also applies to restaurant listed in eatery2u.com. A given example is King Crab Restaurant. Anyone can easily access the King Crab eatery2u.com’s homepage by just typing: kingcrab.eatery2u.com . How cool is that!

For members, you can change your personalized url at your profile page and you will see a link called “[edit URL]”. View the example red box in picture below.

By default when a member registers, the system will automatically put the nickname as the ending URL. But of course you can always change that if wanted to.

Most of us will definitely find a restaurant that is worth telling everyone. Be it either the place is very nicely decorated, staff or the owner are extremely nice and ultimately the food they are serving are out-of-this-world excellent.

Here at eatery2u.com, we have just created a features where you can recommend restaurants to friends and visitors to the website.

You can submit your recommendation at this page, or by clicking to the logo inside your profile page. You can see example of logo at the image bottom.

Haa, wait are you waiting for, come come.. recommend a good place to eat!

I’ve realized that when we are reading about something, it just plain dull if there aren’t any images accompanying the writing.

As a result, at eatery2u.com restaurant description, we have placed a popup image when the reading sentence is describing a particular food or area.

I’ve taken some snapshot on how it works. See it in the image below.

So watch out for extra images on the restaurants’s page.

I, myself like to message people whom I like the most. Not saying that I’m a bugger, but I’m just it. However, a solely text message can be rather boring at times. We need some graphical icon to reflect more expression when sending messages.

Therefore, our developer team has putting the effort to create a smiley effect when sending message amongst eatery2u.com members. If you have been using message feature, you will notice that there is new box just below the writing field where you can choose the smiley faces.

So, go ahead. Send as many messages you like to everyone. Remember to use the smiley..

If you so happen found a marvelous restaurant within our eatery’s listing and woud like to tell all your friends, please do so with a feature called ‘Share this with friends’

Actually, there are few functions you can do relating to the restaurant at the left hand side of the menu. Most of them are worth using. However, I would like to stress a simple yet powerful tool to let your friends know about the restaurant.

See the picture below to have a better view.

Once you clicked at the ‘Share this with friends’ there will be an immediate popup box which you can fill in the friends email. You can also use address book to select friends which located just below the email field.

Once you click ‘Post Message’, the email will be sent to your friends and it will look just like the picture below. I had it taken from my Gmail account.

We have just finished a feature that can email all your friends to join your circle network.

It’s as easy as fill in the email detail and the system will automatically extract all your friends email. It will later list out all the friends email found and you can select and unselect which friends you feel the best to be invited.

At the moment this feature can access gmail, yahoo and hotmail account. We however had slight problem with msn.com and will rectify it soon.

You can give it a try here. Do remember to login into your eatery2u.com first.

As a member at www.eatery2u.com, you may now upload external videos or flash and images from others website such as Flikr, youtube, Photobucket, slide.com and many more.

You can do this by login into as a member, at ‘My Profile’ page click to ‘Edit Profile’. In that page, you will see a box says ‘Media Box’. Copy the link from external website and paste it inside the box. Do remember to save your profile to make it work. You then will see the media box at ‘My Profile’ page.

I would like to mention one of the best feature we have at www.eatery2u.com: Upload Image.

Some may not know this, but we are giving virtually unlimited upload of images to our server. The system has been programmed to handle as many pictures as it can get. Therefore, I would like to advise everyone to fully use this feature. Hey, after all pictures tell a million words.

Member whom just registered, it is highly recommended that you upload at least 1 picture for the avatar to represent yourself to others.
